Pretty good update. I don't think it's too easy. But maybe if you want you can make the score be a changeable setting for an easy/medium/hard.. or even better, to add reply value introduce a star system. So you can earn more stars to move on to the next level. Eg bare minimum points ego move to next level is 1 star, next level is 2 star. A much higher threshold of points is 3 star. Or something based around this.

Also, I'd add a next level button when you lose and have enough points. That way I don't have to go to main menu to see.

Oh, and I'd change the font of the score. Make it more like the font your using everywhere else. It really stands out as feeling like a placeholder.

Does this seem too easy to get from one level to the next? Should I increase the score needed to unlock a subsequent level?

Great app! Only suggestion I have would be to add a "retry level" button when you die - going back out to the main menu and going back in to the level takes a while to load (on mine anyway). Awesome game!

Thanks for the suggestion. I just added a retry button in the latest update.

Nice, now that you got portrait properly working any plans for iPhone? 😉

May 30, 2016

Yep, currently working on iPhone version. Need to make a few adjustments to some of the graphics and modify some of the behaviors (like the zombie patrol behavior so they don't wander off the screen). But overall not too much needs to be done.
If I upload the iPhone version to the hub will it play with the iPhone graphics background like it does when I run it on my iPad from my projects? Next step, figure out how to add ads, then hopefully off to the App Store with both versions.

If you upload an iPhone only game it will show the iPhone "simulator" around the screen. If you share a universal project (one that works for iPhone, and iPad) then it will show the iPad only on the iPad, and iPhone only on an iPhone ( once the iPhone viewer app is out).

Just looking at the date of this (and this comment is a bit off topic from this game) but the viewer app is taking a REALLY long time to come out (9 months now??).

You're right... it's actually done, I don't know why we haven't released it yet.

Lol

I like the way the zombies speed up over time, and I like the multiple stones mechanic, but the first level is too long. The best I got was about 1600 points. Also, I had a bug where the score was 10.0000001 or something after I killed the first zombie. Does this happen when you play it? If not then it's probably a bug with the beta which I'll report.

April 05, 2016

Played a bit more and got 1815. Still stuck on the first level. Unless I'm doing something wrong, this is way too hard.

April 05, 2016

If you've scored over 1000 points on level 1 you should have earned 2 brains (images appear above the number 1) and unlocked level 2 as well as level 7 (the sudden death version of level 1). If these levels are still locked, something is wrong. Could be in the beta version you're using? Would like to hear how it is working for someone using hyperPad 1.12 which is what I'm using.

April 05, 2016

Yeah, sorry. I'll send a bug report now.

I haven't tried it, but you could look in the .tap file (it's actually just a zip) of the original and the branched and see whether you can change the branched so it's like the original, but I'm not sure. Otherwise you could contact support and maybe they can help.
