I'm not that big of a fan of the obstacles, they seem kinda hard and are not really surfing related.... You should make it where you have to jump over a close out section, or dodge pieces of chop!

Sounds like a good plan, the boxes are just placeholders any ways.

March 12, 2016

What do you use to make your graphics? I can't seem to draw any decent graphics...

March 12, 2016

I do everything using illustrator on my computer, but if you're trying to stay on the iPad, Adobe draw is really good.

March 12, 2016

@JackJack Digital I think you should try to make pixel graphics. That way you can make graphics using math and if you use Pixely on the App Store, you can make a basic design and stretch it over a bunch of rows and columns which gets rid of the pixel look if you make it detailed enough. That's what I use anyway.

Ok thanks!

March 12, 2016

What kind of computer do you use? Is the program you have just called illustrator?

March 12, 2016

Yes, I have a pc, buts it's available for Mac. The program is called Adobe Illustrator, it's by the same company that does photoshop and a bunch of other programs. If you download Adobe draw for iPad, it has some similar tools to illustrator, but it's more of a drawing based program (but I don't know if it can export with transparent backgrounds). The cool thing about these programs is that they're vector based, so it gives you those nice clean lines. If I were going to do pixel art, I would use photoshop, but I might try downloading Pixely.

Does illustrator cost money?

March 12, 2016

Yes, but there is a similar program that is open source called Inkscape. It does the same thing as illustrator and has similar tools, the ui is just a lot different.

March 12, 2016

This Adobe thing is so cool! Thanks !

No problem! I'm a design major, so any questions, send them my way. My advice is to just follow tutorials until you start to get the hang of it, there's millions out there.

March 12, 2016

ok, I've watched a couple tutorials and it seems pretty simple. I'm starting to make simple shapes and animals for my game I'm working on!

March 12, 2016

Sweet! I'm excited to see what you come up with!

March 12, 2016

I really like this concept! The other comments have pretty much covered what I was thinking. One thing I would change is the speed of the game. It's a bit too slow, especially when you're in the "sweet spot".

March 12, 2016

Sounds good, I'll keep making changes and post the next version soon!

March 11, 2016

At first I didn't understand how to stop the wave from getting to me and I kept dying, when I realised I had to stay in the middle it was suddenly really easy and got boring quickly. You should add some kind if obstacle or goal.

March 11, 2016

Definitely. There will be obstacles soon and goals and all kinds of fun stuff. Check back in the next few updates and see if it's any better.

March 11, 2016

Okay, sounds cool

March 10, 2016

You should make it where you swipe to do a cutback or a air or something, like swipe up to do a air, and swipe left to do a cutback or something

March 11, 2016

I like it. I'll try to implement something like that.

March 10, 2016

I like how you can pump for speed
