Welcome to Space Showdown! In this game your goal is to defeat the aliens using your ship.
Features:
•Four different Limited Time Modes, changing on the 8th, 15th, and 22nd of the month. There is a LTM downtime period on the remains days of the month, if any.
•Different ships can be earned by leveling up and equipped in the garage.

I actually liked the feel. Main menu music is catchy. What I'd suggest: 1. In my opinion, menu is too complicated, with tons of buttons that lead to other tons of buttons. I was confused at the beginning. You better make it more simple to navigate. 2. Think about core mechanics. Don't get me wrong, but for now I see a menu with mini-game rather than a game with menu. I also spent more time exploring menus rather then playing the actual game. I think you should concentrate more on the game by itself and have a clear vision of mechanics. Come up with controls, power-ups, different enemies and interesting features that can make your game more fun. 3. Improve & add visuals. They're pretty ok now but it can be 16x as better. Gorgeous visuals always come out of small details. Like, add thruster effect for a ship, animated (but not to much, otherwise player can get distracted) background, space dust. I've came with this stuff in 10 seconds. I also think spaceship suits game icon better rather then 8bit 'SS' title. Good luck with developing! :)

Thanks for the feedback! In the latest update I focused a lot on the menus, rather than the actual game, which I'll probably work on in the next update. I've actually really been updating game based on the feedback in the comments, so I'll probably include most of what you said. Again, thanks for the feedback!

Not a bad start.

  • I'd add a background to give the playing field some depth.
  • Make The bullets shoot from a gun, or something. Right now they are coming out of the middle of the ship. Kind of weird?
  • Not a constant art style. some parts have a gradient, others don't. Your menu is modern and sharp, but the game is 8bit.
  • Doesn't feel good. Search youtube for "Gamefeel" there are lottos videos that will show some simple things you can add to make the gam feel more fun. This I think is the most important thing to focus on. If you can make a game feel fun, the rest sort of just comes together.

Multiplayer doesn’t work. Also, maybe add some music or something to make it more fun. The overall gameplay could be hyped up a little bit. Just try to make it more exciting and I think it will be good. And the bullets are kind of shooting off to the side of the character. This game has promise, just keeping working on it!

Thanks. I know that the multiplayer doesn't work because it's coming soon. This literally only took me like three days to make so I think I'm going to add more effects in the next update to make the game more exciting.
