Before getting to the saving score stuff, you should teach them how behaviors work, and exactly how you set up ifs and add values.

Also, these people shouldn't be limited to this pixel app you picked out for your games. Rather, you should introduce vector graphics and give them a few apps of choice. Some other pixel apps are Pixely and Sprite Something. A pretty good vector app is Bez. On the computer, you can also download Adobe Illustrator, though that's quite advanced and pricey, or Inkscape - for free.

Finally, introduce them to the basic Hyperpad physics and controls. You explained the empty object controls, but that's only 1/10000s. Explain how Hyperpad physics imitate the physics you learn about in physics class. And how to deal with the right physics properties and how you should experiment - meaning trial and error - in a more or less educated way. Finally, you should introduce them to while touching and stop touching behaviors because they actually really come in handy.

I can see this being quite handy if you put more effort into this. However, I'll probably design a full-fletched-out course sometime over the next half a year.
