HyperPad,

How do we change to different scenes as if it was going to the next level? Would really love to know!

December 29, 2016

Dear Hyperpad,

Please bring Gamepress back and get rid of Hyperpad! Gamepress worked fine, and Hyperpad has more problems than I can count! Like, on Gamepress if you were making a game and you added the block "Add To Score" to an object it would automatically make a score UI think for you. But on HyperPad that doesn't happen and because of it, I can't make my game.

December 31, 2016

Not going to happen. Ever. HyperPad is essentially GamePress 2.0. We've made a lot of improvements making it more powerful, faster, less bugs and just overall better. Yes there are a few changes in how things work, but overall everything is pretty much the same.

In your case, the change with add to score shouldn't stop you from making your game. The solution is sinple, add a label from the dock onto the UI layer, then for add to score select that label. That's it.

Yes, it's a few extra steps. But more often, when creating more advanced games you want to select your own label instead of one being added for you every time.

Also, if you have suggestions or need help try posting on our forums.

How do we make a project.

May 17, 2016

This was on GamePress in the featured section. And the same as some other people- if this wasn't the only version of GamePress I wouldn't use it at all.

December 30, 2015

Wasn't this on Gamepress? :P

March 08, 2016

Yep, I am not going to tell any lie but this was on GamePress along with a few characters. One other thing is that the pink slime and fly had updated looks.

March 09, 2016

Not sure if you're aware. But we're also the creators of GamePress. hyperPad is actually a new better and rebranded version of GamePress :)

March 09, 2016

I know GamePress was the old version of hyperPad. It's the exact reason I even exist on hyperPad.

March 09, 2016

My comment was more targeted towards @PixelGamer26.

To answer your original question (many months too late ;) ), it was on GamePress. But since it's a great demo that users can learn from and still applies in hyperPad, we decided uploaded it to the hub.

March 09, 2016

I know and I would really like a search bar so that we could find what we want in the hub just like GamePress.

March 09, 2016

For feature requests, best way to to fill out the feedback/personal support form in the LEARN tab of hyperPad. That way the whole team sees it.

That being said, it's planned. Things take time. We're busy making improvements to the app, the hub, and a bunch of other behind the scenes things at once. GamePress may have had search, but it wasn't implemented very well. For hyperPad we're taking our time making sure things are done correctly and more polished.

March 09, 2016

OK. Can you please add a chat and search filter?

March 09, 2016

Chat is unlikely since it's very difficult to moderate. There is a (broken) private message system, and we're adding a forum soon as well.

Search Filter, the search will handle that. You search for what you want and it will find it based on description, keywords, users, comments etc.

Also, comments are typically for the game. If you want to continue this discussion I'm happy to listen to your ideas and suggestions. But please fill out the personal support/feedback form in the LEARN tab of hyperPad so we can go in more detail without taking away from the purpose of the comments.

March 09, 2016

OK.

How do u make an icon,I have many games to upload but I can't because I can't make an icon!

December 06, 2015

If you have a technical question, please use the Personal Support form located in the LEARN tab of hyperPad.

You can create an icon the same way you made any graphics (assuming you made your own graphics). on the iPad a lot of our users have the App Sketch Club which allows you to create your own graphics. Just make sure your image is 1024x1024 pixels. If you already have an image, you can crop/resize it using many image editors. Search the App store for drawing apps, or image editors that support custom resolutions.

You can also create it on a computer using tools like Photoshop ($$$), or Freely available tools like "Gimp".

Again, for future technical questions please use the personal support form located in the learn tab in hyperPad. The comments should only be related to the project.

The manual says tap "get" to download assets for my first project, but the only options I have are "play" (which gives me an error openin zip file) and "branch" This is not what the manual says, doesn't work, and doesn't make sense to me. I'm starting to wonder if I should just get a refund for the app.

October 02, 2015

Hi Ryan,

Sorry I didn't reply sooner! I missed this message. For the future, I would recommend using the support forms in the "Learn" page when you need help on a specific topic. I'm sending you an email so we can figure out where your stuck, and how we can solve the problem.

But the Play and Branch options ONLY appear for projects in the Hub. The "GET" option appears ONLY for items in the Asset Shop . Since you're commenting on the Level Example, I think you made a wrong turn in the App. To get to get to the downloadable assets, Open the Asset Library from any existing project, then tap the shopping cart icon labeled "Get Assets".

I hope this helps.
