Not much. Maybe add some boss fights and more areas

I hope in the next version of gamepress, i hope there is a section in the hub for completed games, and a section for "in development" projects. Wouldn't that be nice!

October 04, 2015

Yeah nice dig!

If you read the comments it says it's very early in development, and if you remember in gamepress most games was in the beta stages! Douche.

October 04, 2015

Sorry, said Gamepress meant Hyperpad! 😳

October 04, 2015

@Jay sry about the confusion. I had an idea for hyperpad itself and probably posted it in the wrong place.

I like your game, i just wish the hub could divide things better.

October 04, 2015

That confusion wasn't an issue, both are by the same people anyway. My issue is you seemed to give a dig at the fact my game is in development, most games made and shown here are in beta stages and I clearly noted that in my description. I'm trying to learn as well as create graphics and I've wrote 1000's of words to a story that I'm hoping to implement in this game if not in the new RPG Maker MV. I own RPG Maker VX but that can't upload to App Store.

Thanks for the like btw, although it confused me with earlier comment. FYI that comment wasn't productive and would of been better given straight to developers. Thanks

@Drath TTam, ah ok, thanks for commenting back. Sorry for being abrasive before.

I'll always appreciate constructive feedback. I'm currently working on the environment atm as waiting for the next tutorial for creating a shop as the one I got rid of wasn't much better than the current one, but at least money can be obtained now.

October 04, 2015

Sorry about the origional comment. I meant it as an idea for future Hyperpad versions, but I see how you interpreted it a snide remark about your game.

Your game runs great, and I think it has a great setting. I really like the melee gameplay; i think i might try something like that eventually, in a side scroller format.

Keep up the good work!

October 04, 2015

Guys try to keep it civil pleas.

If you have a comment or suggestion about hyperpad reach out to us directly. You can fill out the support form in the learn section or press the feedback button from the hyperpad menu. Keep them out of the comments, unless it is specific to the ongoing conversation.

It's all good, thanks man.

I found the melee aspect confusing at first as to have the weapon move to character and use it from a hidden command, but it's a little funky that way, so went with changing the character fx. Will end up with more sprites at the end, but will hopefully be worth it. Next update will likely just be graphical.

Look forward to seeing what you bring to the table. It's good that none premium have to share code, as makes it easier to learn.

October 04, 2015

No worry man, was already sorted lol

That's why I don't text people usually, too easy to misconstrued things.

October 04, 2015

@Jay lol me too

Now that we got that sorted, we better end the thread. Wouldn't want to get TOO off topic. Lol

September 28, 2015

Too early indevelopement. Needs more work like, adding more enimies, adding health, the shop is pretty good though

September 28, 2015

I think this is borderline too early for the hub. The hyperPad team came to a conclusion of keeping it in the hub since there are some unique things (like the shop, and melee weapons). We're trying to make the hub maintain a certain level of quality, and not be flooded with lots of unfinished works.

That being said, unfinished/work in progress projects are fine, as long as they are demonstrating something unique like a new game mechanic or feature that can be part of a game.

A few suggestions for your RPG:

  • Don't use the text input field behaviour for buying shop stuff. Make an actual pop up graphic/menu and show/hide that. Make it visual. The text input popup behaviour should rarely be used in my opinion.

  • Few more enemies. Since I killed the first guy right away, I didn't have anyone else to try my new weapons on.

  • Don't make the shopkeeper talk when I run into him. Maybe make a large empty object near the middle of the shop that triggers the chat event.

September 29, 2015

@Murtaza & @Yoshi101dash; I here what your both saying, I thought it might of been abit too premature as well, but I'll take on board the comments especially about the shop. Thanks guys.

September 28, 2015

Looks awesome so far. Maybe make a sword swinging animation.

September 28, 2015

Thanks man, I'll implement that once I've worked things out I had issues while moving forward the animation was getting left behind. Still a noob really lol
