What is the point of looking behind you?

Is it possible to lose? (I'm not trying to be mean I'm just wondering cause I didn't die or anything during my time of playing it)

Here's a few cons -you slide too much even though I think you meant for it to slide it just makes travelling to caves annoying -what boss fight? -I found the candy cane things, I won, found them again thinking it wasn't the end but it just said the same thing -I'm not sure if you meant for it to happen but I got a random encounter with a bunch of those potion things, no enemy -the graphics went from good to bad real quick -I didn't feel victorious when it said I won I think you may have put it up on the hub too early
