About This Project

Sometimes it's fun to just push some buttons and toggle some switches. "The Device" is a work in progress that started out as an experiment in making an entertaining interface with a bit of suggested backstory. My long term plan is to create additional devices, each with achievements to puzzle out. Feedback is welcomed.

What's New

Version 1.4 • Updated 9/21/2022

The World Map device now has seven achievements available. A number of the sounds have also been added and/or updated. Other updates were of the ever-popular behind-the-scenes variety.

Cool!

You should make this more like "please don't touch anything"

I'm glad you enjoy the game. I do want to do more with it; I think it is going to be a slowly evolving project that I get back to now and again. (The only hints thus far are in the names of the To Do list items.)

The two games I had on GamePress were Hench (which was designed for one of the GamePress contests) and Boil Boil.

Also, I noticed the Almost Bedtime Studies thing. I recognize the name from Gamepress but I can't remember what games you made.

I really, really, REALLY love this for some reason and I definitely think you should continue. Maybe with a slowly unraveling story. Also, because this game can be slow, maybe add little hints so people aren't just pressing randomly and getting bored and giving up (unless you already have hidden hints and I'm just oblivious).
