Made originally for the 100 behavior challenge... And now this is going off to the App Store!

To play... Swipe in the direction the arrow is facing as it comes from the left, right, top or bottom of the screen. If you swipe in another direction or never get to swipe on the arrow... You lose! Oh, and there happens to be a little something called THE SPECIAL ARROW - swipe twice on that thing! Try to beat your highscore, ok?

Listen up guys!

I hate this update XD. I was supposed to have a shop done. I had everything designed, but after a few months gave up because I couldn't get all the arrows working.

Anyway, this is probably one of the last updates before I release to the App Store, so help me out! This update features smoother gameplay, refined design, and better colors. I also fixed up the tutorial and music. The awards are now found throughout the game, and they're all working! Just tell me if you find any bugs or have any simple feedback.

If you have any ideas to make up for the shop, that would be a cool update after I get this on the App Store. Contact me at michaelk.writing@yahoo.com if by any chance you've published to the App Store and want to help. I got that email at 7 years old XD. Anyway, I'll probably post info on the forum.

The swiping isn't working well for me, I am swiping up twice but arrow not going away (so I'm pretty sure it's something to do with the way swipe up/down/left/right works. You should add some visual effect when you successfully swipe an arrow, and instead of the arrow being darker if it is a double swipe, why not just be like a double arrow? Either an arrow inside a bigger arrow or just 2 arrowheads facing in the same direction (and one of the arrows disappear when you swipe).

I like the idea of an arrow inside of an arrow. Probably not going to happen right now, but a great thing to consider in the future. Now, when you say the swiping isn't working, that has me really worried. I got to a highscore of 56, but then again, I'm the one who made the game and knows inside-out how it works. What device are you using? And is it consistent?

iPad Air, there's nothing wrong with performance (seems to run 60FPS) and it is not really consistent, it's probably just the way I swipe or something.

Ok I tried it again and it is sort of consistent, it's only happening with dark blue arrows, the first swipe on an arrow always works for me but the second swipe only works sometimes.

How doesn't it work? It works perfectly fine on my iPad. You swipe, it changes color, you swipe again, the next arrow comes... It isn't doing that for you?

Could just be for me... This has happened on one of my games I'm working on where it just deletes a whole room but when I save and exit then come back it's all there and working so it way just be me

I might make this closed source next update... Or maybe the update after... You can take a look at this right now if you want though!

Also, in case I won't be able to update in the next week, I have sad news for you guys... I'm going to be going away for 4 weeks and I won't have an iPad to work with. I will only be able to look at Hyperpad through the Internet and rush my comments through there. It's saddening to leave you guys and my games for so long :(. However, I'll have lots to make up for when I come back!

It's already up to 99 behaviours? You could make this game easily under 50 behaviours. Unless you're like me and you tried to get exactly 1 under the limit by adding probably useless and inefficient behaviours 😝

Now that I'm finished updating mine I'll branch this and have a look for you 😊 there's no way I'm gonna get any lower than 100 behaviours on mine now without removing features. Jack8680 gave it a go because for a while, got to around 30-40 behaviours but it didn't work properly.

49 behaviours with an increasing spawn rate. It looks messy in the arrow with all the behaviour offs because there is a bug where swipe behaviours were activated after the object was destroyed.

Jack got around the bug too, he did a better job getting less behaviours, so if you ever for some reason need more behaviours you would check his out.

I will! Just I thought he said that there was that destroyed object bug, so I thought it existed in there. I took a look at the behaviors though and they seemed creative and way effecient enough :).

Lol, I didn't realise Aidan had sent one... Mine is more behaviour efficient and includes an increasing spawn rate function, but there is no reason to use mine unless you run out of behaviours.

Cool game and the art is nice! But you might want to look into the swiping coding because sometimes the swiping dosent work well. But, overall cool game! (I liked it above)

Thanks, I'd have to look into the swiping after the challenge because I'm using Hyperpad's swipe behavior, and if I created my own it would exceed 100 behaviors. Problem is, I already used up 99 of those behaviors XD.

By the way, it was a bit rushed for the challenge :(. Almost all my focus right now is in this other game I've been working on the past 4 months called "Exactly!" On the hub, it still has 6 levels from a month ago, but I've made 12 more! Do you think this game is worth focusing on right now?

I left it open source this time! If anyone can figure out a way to use less behaviors for what I did, just so I can add 7 more in... That would be great! Those 7 behaviors made up a nice highscore system, which I sadly had to delete :(.
